Colonial Day Fun

The classes rotated through stations that were taught by Mom & Dad Volunteers they basically learned about a day in the life of a colonial child the activities included Food, Outdoor games, Candle Making, Schoolhouse, Crafts, Quilting (Boo loved this the best)
& last but not least Ben Franklin.
I was stationed in Food and Dining customs. We taught the kids how to "churn" their own butter using heavy whipping cream a dash of salt inside a baby food jar. They also feasted on raisins, bread, marshmellows, beef jerky, trail mix, pigs in a blanket, ginger snaps, and apple cider. Whether or not they had marshmellows back then is questionable. Nevertheless the kids had a blast. So did I Thank You Robison Rockets U Rock!!
