Fun on the 4th

Our neighborhood had a bike parade down the mainstreet the kids had a blast getting thier bikes all decked out.

the girls taking the tour of our local fire engine #4
posin in the truck ....work it
...........unforseen impending doom on the truck

Yes that's right somehow they managed to brush up against the door frame of the truck and peel the plastic sealant off LOL it was like that before I HOPE

After the parade the pool was open they served hotdogs, watermelon, ice pops, cookies, cokes, & water.
The entire pool area & much of the surrounding streets were entertained by the musical stylings of "Too Far Gone."

I wish I had my camera during their set so you could get a visual. I kid you not they were like the garage band from Desparate Housewives. Basically, it was a bunch of older guys from the nieghborhood with an affinity for 80's bands. Remenisent on their glory days they were great.

Belle was a reciepent of a lovely butterfly  face painting that was quickly smudged when she nuzzled up against our couch....good times!!

We came home for a nap and attended church services at 7. One of the singers did an amazing rendition of God Bless America everyone stood to thier feet.  Afterwards we caught the downtown fireworks from midtown.

On our way home we picked up a couple fireworks for the kids to do on our driveway.

Umm Don't try this at home kids
